A lot of the skills needed for researching blueprints- are used to farm datacores. Its a pain to grind standings up but makes for a nice passive income.

Its also possible that agents dont "update" their rp/ hour based on skills that change after the research was started. It may be necessary to stop the researching- and restart it- to get it to use the current skill set in the calculations.

This doesnt exactly fit your question but... If i remember right chribba runs a char sheet website that will list the blueprints your toon can/can not run based on their skills. Ive looked through my bookmarks and cant seem to find it though.
